"We had a lovely and cosy stay in the hut. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is surprisingly spacious thanks to the clever design and furnishing throughout. We loved waking up to the beautiful views and would definitely stay again. And despite it being a windy and cold day, we were nice and warm all throughout the night. The Berkeley Arms was a great recommendation, too!"

"We only used as a bed and somewhere to eat as racing at Rutland Water. The property was beautiful and some lovely touches. We loved just sitting on the step’s watching the daylight fade and listening to the birds and owls.
Very clean and well appointed, bed was comfortable, bathroom was spotless with a lovely shower. Added bonus of some milk in the fridge for us, thank you, plus tea bags and coffee. Will look at returning for a longer stay and don’t need to get up at 4am!"

"I celebrated my wedding anniversary with my husband in the hut and we had such a lovely time together. The hut is such a sweet and well designed spot, it was truly charming. We gave the fire pit a go for the first time, so it was a big adventure for us and we had a lot of fun with it. The place is just georges and as we went there for a bird watching trip, I adored waking up for bird chirping!"

"From the minute I walked up to Marks Shepard’s hut I knew I’d struck gold and this was going to be an amazing place!
The Hut was spotlessly clean, well equipped, super comfortable, private and really quiet. I was taken to the area as part of a course working high drive dogs and at the end of the day was the perfect place to come home to get a hot shower, relax in the privacy and get a good nights sleep. I will definitely be returning if only to get away from it all!
Mark was completely un-intrusive but the communication was fantastic with messages answered quickly."

"Wow what a lovely stay!
The hut is absolutely beautiful and the surroundings only add further to this. The inside of the hut is cosy and packed full of anything you could need. It was helpful having everything with little labels too! The hut was very clean also. We chose to drive into Lincoln for the day which was only a short drive an hour away. But if you’re happy for the drive it it’s definitely a great option! The area of the hut is tranquil and the scenery is stunning. We had a little fire one night and toasted some marshmallows that were kindly provided by the hosts. Check in and out was super easy and convenient and the instructions to both find the hut and to check in were easy to follow. We couldn’t recommend the stay more and would be looking forward to staying again.

"We have just spent two nights at the shepherd's hut and absolutely loved it. Such a peaceful location and the hut itself is just gorgeous. We were really comfortable and cosy and everything was well thought out. Even the firepit was laid ready and we took advantage of it on our second night, enjoying a glass of fizz in the pretty little garden with the twinkling lights. Magical! Mark was very friendly and helpful, and we would love to return...."
